About
the School of Health and Social Care
One
of the largest Schools in the University, the School
of Health and Social Care offers multi-professional
courses which are dynamic and stimulating, providing
students with the knowledge and confidence to care for
people in a complex and changing health care world.
The School provides pre-registration programmes in Nursing,
Midwifery, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy and
Osteopathy and post-registration and post-graduate programmes
in a wide range of clinical specialisms, from Public
Health to Geratology, Critical Care to Palliative Care,
and Education for Practice to Community Care.
It
has links to overseas universities in America, Asia
and Europe for research and student exchange. Based
in the internationally recognized Radcliffe teaching
hospitals and other eminent local hospitals, many within
walking distance of the University's main campus, the
pre-registration degree programmes provide an exciting
alternative to the diploma courses offered elsewhere
in the region.
An
award from the School of Health and Social Care at Oxford
Brookes can be of great benefit to registered health
care practitioners who wish to extend their specialist
clinical knowledge and enhance their career prospects.
