Certificate
in E-Commerce Management
Program
Overview
E-commerce,
one of the fastest growing areas in consumer transactions,
continues to transform the way companies do business.
Of the nearly 125 million Internet users in North America,
at least one-third do some shopping online. Businesses
wanting to capitalize on e-commerce technologies and
sell products on the Internet must have the business
and technical knowledge to allow customers to shop,
select, order and purchase goods and services as easily
and securely as possible.
This
five-month weekend program focuses on e-commerce business
and management strategies needed for success in today's
Internet business environment. The program, which explores
such issues as key business models, effective Web marketing
strategies, and site design, development and maintenance,
provides a framework for starting an Internet business
or leading a successful e-commerce initiative within
an existing business. Participants develop a business
plan that is appropriate for an e-commerce startup or
internal corporate project.
