This
program is for the nontechnical professional, business
generalist or entrepreneur interested in Web site production
and management or consulting for small companies and
organizations, or a personal business. Starting with
a definition of business needs and project management
strategies, students create a Web site for a small business,
department or organization that will meet business goals.
A project is completed encompassing the design, infrastructure
and programming needed. The program is offered in both
evening classroom and distance learning formats.
Participants network with Web professionals.
Courses have been approved
by the UW Computer Science & Engineering Department
and the UW Information School, top programs in the
country.
Completion of the program helps students prepare
for the certification exam offered by the World
Organization of Webmasters.
Customized videos distributed by PBS feature experts
addressing industry issues and trends.
The UW industry-recognized certificate is awarded
upon successful completion of the program.
Program is designed by an advisory
board of UW faculty and technology professionals
who have Internet and Web expertise.
Participants earn nine Continuing Education Units
(CEUs) upon successful completion of the certificate
program.
